Over a year ago, before I even decided to become a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I was digging through my supplements looking through all that I had. If you are like me, you have many bottles you impulsively bought for various reasons. I was sliding bottles aside from a company that I have been taking vitamins from for most of my life. You see, my parents have a good friend who manufactures high-quality supplements, so I grew up taking their stuff. They didn't normally sell to the general public because they private label their products for other companies. But he was willing to slap on a generic label and sell to my dad. I had never ordered any from him myself because I always just got what I needed from my parents. Then the thought occurred to me...what if I finally DO start a health business of some sort? Could I start my own line of supplements too? My Dad's friend, the owner of the company, had passed away about a year prior, so I called my Dad to find out if the company was even still in business.

It is!
In fact, the business is run by the previous owner's son now. Right then, a seed was planted, and a dream was born. I have kept this dream in my back pocket for over a year now as I have poured my heart into discovering exactly what this health business of mine should be.
I was participating in a bible study one day last summer and the name "Asher Health" was placed on my heart. In Genesis, Leah names her son Asher, meaning “blessed” or “happy”, because having him had made her so happy. Later, Moses prayed a blessing over him:
“more blessed than sons is Asher; may he be favored by his brothers, and may he dip his foot in oil. The bolts of your gate will be iron and bronze, and your strength will equal your days.” Duet. 33:24-25
"More literally translated, Asher is a condition of moving straight forward, prosperous, and happy. It is not a future blessing, but a present spiritual joy and satisfaction that comes only from being at peace with God and in union with Him through a New Covenant relationship" Dr. Stephen Jones
In the midst of hardship or pain we may not always feel happy, but we are blessed when we remain in a state of joy in spite of our circumstances.
May we all have more Asher in our lives.
Stay tuned! My supplements store will be stocked and ready to sell very soon.
